Amy Bacon
Amy was born in Thomasville and moved to Leesburg in 1995. She started working for Lee County School System as a substitute teacher. After a couple of years subbing she accepted a position as a secretary for LCMS West. While working as a secretary Amy created our substitute program in which Lee County used for almost 20 years. Amy began as the substitute coordinator for the entire system each day training and placing substitutes which many over the years have been hired by our system. In 2020 she began dual roles as substitute coordinator and clerical for Lee County Elementary School. Currently she serves as LCES bookkeeper and loves it.
Wearing many hats over the years Amy thrives when serving others, coordinating events and taking care of all things Lee County. Amy graduated from Central High School in 1986 after which she worked for the Credit Bureau and held various bookkeeping positions before moving to Lee County.
Amy has four children which have all attended Lee County Schools. Samantha, her daughter, has returned to Lee County as a counselor for LCES/TOES. Her daughter Kayla lives in Florida and she has two sons Jacob and Joshua. Amy has five grandchildren in which she adores and enjoys as often as she gets the chance. Amy’s favorite hobby is photography, which she has done since high school.
